Robert Herjavec is widely recognized as a leading cyber security
expert, motivational speaker, business expert, and a leading Shark and
executive producer on ABC’s Emmy® Award-winning hit TV show
“Shark Tank,” which is releasing its 17th season this fall.
Herjavec though is also an international Shark and Dragon having
appeared on the Canadian version (“Dragon’s Den”), the
Australian version (“Shark Tank”) and the U.S. version — all in
the same year.

Most recently, Herjavec was appointed to lead global strategy at data
management company Zetaris. He is a minority investor in the company,
which is based in the U.S. but was founded in 2013 in Australia. Born
in Communist Yugoslavia, Robert and his parents left with little for a
better life in Canada. Boarding a boat in Italy, they made their way
to a new world with a single suitcase. From delivering newspapers and
waiting tables to launching a billion-dollar global computer company
from his basement, Herjavec’s drive to achieve has led him to the
fulfillment of a better life in a classic rags to riches story.

In 2003, he founded Herjavec Group, with a team of two people and it
quickly became one of North America’s fastest growing technology
companies with 1,000 people. Today, Herjavec Group (now called
Cyderes) is a global leader in cyber security specializing in managed
security with secure operations centers in Canada, United States,
United Kingdom and India. He has served as a cybersecurity advisor for
the government of Canada, participated in the White House summit on
cybersecurity, and is a member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Task
Force for Cybersecurity. His views on the threat landscape, emerging
technologies and need for a proactive security framework are regularly
profiled across print, digital and television mediums.

Herjavec’s inspiring books have all appeared on bestsellers’
lists, two of them being notably featured in the Top 10 at the same
time. A well-known motivational speaker, Herjavec has spoken to
purpose-driven companies around the world ranging from crowds as small
as 50 to ones as large as 20,000 and has shared the stage with Tony
Robbins, Oprah, and many others. He has also been featured in multiple
lifestyle and business magazines including Inc, Success, Forbes,
Fortune and more.

To Herjavec, running a business is a lot like one of his greatest
passions: racing cars. He believes, “You have to stay laser-focused
when driving a car over 200 miles an hour, and the same approach is
required when growing a business in today’s world of rapidly
changing technology.”

Herjavec is married to “Dancing with the Stars” pro Kym Johnson
and splits his time between Toronto, Los Angeles and Australia. He is
a proud father of young twins and remains involved with many
charities, including the Humane Society, the American Cancer Society,
PLAY – Physical Lifestyles for Autistic Youth and Seattle’s Union
Gospel Mission.
